The "Shaveim" news website, in collaboration with former MK Shirley Pinto (Yamina), opened a special war room for people with disabilities during the war. The operations room will be open 24/7 during the entire "Iron Swords" war. The operations room is staffed by MK Pinto (who is deaf from birth) and her team, together with members of the editorial board of the "Shaveim" website.
People with disabilities who have encountered difficulties due to the security situation are invited to contact the operations room by filling out a quick form. The applicants receive assistance and find solutions to various problems: lack of food, assistance in purchasing medicines, mental assistance, help with shopping, etc.
Those in need of the help of the operations room are welcome to contact the hotline at any time >> https://bit.ly/Purple-Help.

Shaveim was established in 2018 as a news site addressing the community of people with disabilities, numbering 1.5 million Israelis, and their families. The site covers the daily life of the community, provides it with vital news information, assists its members in solving problems and injustices, and works to influence the policy of decision makers for the welfare of the community and its people. It should be noted that the national press, radio and television often adopt scoops and news items that appeared on a par with their media, thereby increasing its influence.
The site gains wide exposure with tens of thousands of hits a day. Its editor-in-chief is Idan Mottola, a former journalist (Yedioth Ahronoth, DeMarker) and father of Ohad, a young man on the autistic spectrum.
